Sebastian O’Connor

Sebastian O’Connor is a contemporary abstract artist based in San Diego. Working in mixed media on wood panel and canvas, he creates layered paintings shaped by memory, place, and the emotional traces that remain.

His process is intuitive and physical—building, scraping, drawing, covering, and revealing. Fragments of harbors, industrial structures, text, and landscape emerge without becoming literal. Color and gesture carry the work between tension and stillness.
