About the Work

Signals Beneath the Surface is built through layers of interruption, erasure, and reconstruction. Fragments of color and line move through a dense, central structure, while quieter passages allow the surface to breathe. The work suggests traces of architecture, memory, and movement without resolving into a fixed place.

Materials & Process

Acrylic, graphite, charcoal, oil stick, collage, and mixed media are layered, scraped, covered, and exposed across the wood panel. Earlier marks remain partially visible beneath later passages, allowing the history of the painting's construction to remain present in the finished surface.
