About the Work

The Anchor gathers its energy around a strong green central form, held against dark passages and a field of layered marks. Blue and orange accents interrupt the quieter surface, creating a balance between weight and movement. The painting suggests a point of grounding within a shifting, fragmented space, without resolving into a literal place or object.

Materials & Process

Acrylic, graphite, charcoal, pastel, ink, collage, and cardboard form Sebastian’s mixed-media vocabulary. In The Anchor, layered color, drawn marks, and exposed passages create a surface that holds both structure and interruption. Areas of density meet quieter spaces, allowing the accumulated marks and color relationships to remain visible.
